The mission of St. Joseph’s Prep as a Catholic, Jesuit, urban, college preparatory school is to develop the minds, hearts, souls, and characters of young men in their pursuit of becoming men for and with others.
As our mission states, the Magis propels the school community to strive for excellence in all endeavors; the financial aid allocation process is yet another example of such an endeavor. The Prep believes in supporting the realization of its institutional mission through the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive financial aid program. St. Joseph’s Prep seeks to enroll students of strong academic potential and good character, with diverse talents, varied interests and backgrounds. The Prep offers a comprehensive financial aid program in order to support the enrollment objectives of the school, meet the financial need of current families, and to enable students to participate in the entire school program. Information is collected from Prep families to determine the objective baselines within which financial aid decisions are made. It is the Prep’s goal to ensure that the school maintains a well-qualified student body that reflects the socio-economic diversity of the community in which it resides and in concert with the Catholic Church and the Society of Jesus.
