Objectives of This Goal

  1. Establish an Ignatian Engagement Program for Colleagues.

  2. Integrate the student formation program to reflect more holistic intentionality.

  3. Create a culture of engagement and commitment.

This Goal In Action Means

  1. Our Prep colleagues will embody the dignity of their work as a Jesuit school, by embracing their vocation as called and gifted by God, such that these dedicated men and women continue to enhance and sharpen their formation in Ignatian pedagogy and personal spiritual journey.

  2. Students will enhance their faith through more intentional, integrated and holistic opportunities that better connect academic, cocurricular, service and spirituality programs.

  3. Students will also experience Prep’s “Cura Urbi” or “care for the city” via a comprehensive, integrated service learning program that connects the urban context of the Prep to their student formation.

  4. Each constituency within the Prep will re-dedicate itself in a new way to a culture of engagement and commitment wherein each takes on a role as “Citizen” who owns the school’s mission and is fully engaged and committed to the school.

Chris Gutt '20

"I wanted to go to a school that has roots-a place where relationships were important and are something that would last past graduation. I saw that with me dad (alumnis Matthew Gutt '84)." Last year Chris won the 2019 Men for Others Award, presented by Prep alumni Men for Others committee and given to a student who exemplifies the school's Jesuit mission and lives according to the St. Ignatius motto: "In all, love, and serve."
