2020 Commencement Information
Celebrating the Class of 2020
Friday, July 31 | Church of the Gesu
To celebrate the Class of 2020, graduates and their parents/guardians will gather in person at the Prep for the presentation of Diplomas, Awards and the Service of Light. Due to regulations for gatherings from the state of Pennsylvania, there will be three separate ceremonies, graduates grouped in three sections alphabetically by last name.
While the in-person ceremony is limited to graduates and their parents/guardians, it will be live streamed for viewing on the Prep website. Tickets are required for admittance; each graduate will receive 2 tickets in the mail. Due to state regulations, there will be no additional tickets. All participants will follow regulations for social distancing; masks or face coverings are mandatory.
- 10 a.m.: Group A, Students with last names: A thru G
- Noon: Group B, Students with last names: H thru M
- 2 p.m.: Group C, Students with last names: N thru Z
All those participating in the graduation must attend the rehearsal and tuxedo pick-up on Thursday afternoon, July 30. Time and more details to come.
After the ceremony, graduates and their parents will process together out of the Church.
Seating: Graduates will be seated with their families in pre-assigned alternating pews in keeping with social distance guidelines.
Parking: Parents and graduates are encouraged to drive to the Prep together. Parking information will be posted as we get closer to the event.
Arrival: Graduates will gather in Sauter Dining Hall or Multi-Purpose Room 30 minutes before their ceremony begins for check-in, boutonniere and procession. Parents will be directed to reserved seats in the Church of the Gesu. Procession of graduates will begin promptly at designated start time. Graduates will sit with parents in pre-assigned seats.

Due to the logistics, graduates are not permitted to switch groups.

- Announcements and Name Cards
Each senior received 20 announcements and name cards. Delivery for the announcements was made on May 27. If you did not receive them, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
As our long-standing Prep tradition, Tuxedos will be worn by the Class of 2020 at the July 31 special Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement event. This cost has been included in the standard graduation fee.
