The Empty Bowls Auction & Hunger Banquet is a dual event that raises money and awareness about hunger locally and nationally.
Before the event even starts, student and adult volunteers are needed to help mold and design the bowls in the Art room for the event that takes place in the Spring every year. The event begins with an auction featuring bowls sculpted and painted by students, members of the Mothers’ and Fathers’ Clubs, and some faculty and staff. The bowls are auctioned via a silent auction throughout the night with the proceeds going to a local organization dedicated to feeding those who are hungry in Philadelphia.
The second part of the night is the Hunger Banquet. The Hunger Banquet is an opportunity for our entire community (students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, etc.) to gather together and learn more about hunger in our city and throughout the world.
This year's event will take place Tuesday, February 28, 2017. If interested in attending, please click here to sign up for the 2017 Hunger Banquet.
