Dear Coaches and Parents of Athletes,
As the academic year draws to an end, I'd like to inform you of one more chance to win a trophy for your team, and to do some good for our community: The Hurtado Cup.
As many of you know, many children in our city depend on food programs offered at school. When school lets out for the summer, these children have to face hunger directly. There are many different summer programs that provide kids with games, activities, and even meals. But these programs need generous in-kind support.
This year, the Athletics Department at the Prep is teaming up with our own Hurtado Food Pantry in the "Hurtado Cup." Parents, coaches, and players can contribute by purchasing items for these camps, which will then be sent to the Prep for distribution. The team that contributes the most generously will be awarded the "Hurtado Cup" and will be commemorated forever on a trophy. Their coach will also receive a prize. In order to donate, please click on and share our link: https://yougivegoods.com/the-hurtado-cup
We know that you have been asked to contribute to many different causes during this year, but these donations are tax-exempt, convenient, and will impact local programs this summer. You can select exactly what type of product you would like to provide from a long list of items at a diverse amount of price points - no donation is too small.
Thank you for your time and generosity,
P.S. If you have any questions or you are interested in volunteering, please contact myself, Leo Vaccaro the director of the Hurtado Food Pantry, or the pantry's student leaders - Pat Gillespie '16 and Andrew Bracken '17.
