Mothers For Others
The mission of the SJP Students’ Mothers’ Club is to promote the social interaction of the members through spiritual, cultural and charitable activities; to foster a spirit of cooperation within the Prep community and to support the Prep through fundraising.
As part of our mission, the “Mothers for Others” fund started in 2007 by then MC President, Sheila Brennan Connor, mother of William ’04, Joseph ’06, and Martin ‘08, and former Trustee. A portion of the monies raised by the Mothers’ Club (in excess of operating expenses) is to be set aside to help families of current students in emergency circumstances when the primary source of family income is compromised through ill health, unexpected job loss or other circumstances as shall be deemed applicable.
The Fund is administered by the Financial Aid Committee of St. Joseph’s Preparatory School and all distributions are confidential. The initial commitment/goal was $10,000 per year. Over $35,000 has been used to assist our families to date.
