The mission of the Mothers’ Club is to promote interaction between the mothers of Prep students through spiritual, cultural, and charitable activities.
The defining goal of this organization is to extend the spirit of cooperation throughout the Prep as well as to support the community through fundraising. Since its inception in 1934, the Mothers’ Club has accomplished its mission by organizing and staging a variety of special events that take place throughout the school year. Not only do the mothers in the club form lifelong friendships with each other, they also create Prep memories while building stronger relationships with their sons. All Prep moms are invited to participate in any way they are able.

Volunteer for 2019-20!
Every mom at the Prep is a member of the Mothers' Club! The Mothers' Club relies on volunteer help throughout the year. Volunteer opportunities for the 2019-20 school year are available by clicking HERE.
All Prep Moms who would like to volunteer at the Prep may no longer be required to have clearances on file. It will depend on what you are doing at the Prep as a volunteer. If you are an unpaid volunteer and will not have "direct contact" with the students, which is defined as "the care, supervision, guidance or control of children and routine interaction with children," then you will not need to have current clearances on file with Human Resources. Routine interaction is "regular and repeated contact that is integral to a person's employment or volunteer responsibilities."
If you are a paid volunteer and/or will have "direct contact" with the students, which is defined as "the care, supervision, guidance or control of children and routine interaction with children," then you will need to have current clearances on file with Human Resources. Routine interaction is "regular and repeated contact that is integral to a person's employment or volunteer responsibilities."
Please note: If you have been a resident of PA for 10 or more years, are not being paid and can swear/affirm to what is listed on the disclosure application for volunteers, you will be able to forego fingerprints. However, if you have not been a PA resident for 10 years, or you are being paid, or are unable to swear/affirm to what is listed on the disclosure application for volunteers, you will still need to be fingerprinted. Any Mom who has an out-of-state residence and who is volunteering in a role that has direct contact with students will still be required to be fingerprinted.
If you are uncertain as to whether you will need clearances, please contact Joe Dougherty, Director of Human Resources, at email@example.com to discuss your volunteer opportunity and ascertain your need for clearances.
Click here for all of the necessary clearance applications, disclosure application for volunteers and for instructions on how to register for fingerprinting as well as site locations in PA. All completed applications should be sent to Joe Dougherty for processing.
The Prep Shop Needs Volunteers!
This is a great way to meet new friends, reconnect with old friends, and raise money for our sons’ school! The shop is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., occasional evenings, and occasionally on a weekend for a special event.
he first time you work, you will be paired with an experienced volunteer who can show you the ropes! Therefore, don’t sign up with another “new” mom until you have worked one shift.
